Quick Start Guide for Hiking Apps

Choose a Hiking App

When used with our guided hikes, a hiking app will show you the path to follow when walking a trail, give you directions at trail intersections, and highlight points of interest along the way. To get started, download one or both of the two apps described below. Since both are free, you can test both of them, and choose the app that works best for you. It is best to download the app while connected to Wifi in order to avoid data charges. If you need more information to make your choice, have a look at Choosing an App.
